Biggest scam I’ve seen in a while—do *not* walk in blind. They tried charging me $400 for a hood off a wrecked Ford Focus. A *new* one is $300. I asked around, and every other place had it for less. Don’t get me wrong, salvage yards can be a steal, but this? Just a cash grab. Shop elsewhere.

Zero stars if I could. Messaged them about a tailgate, they said they had it, even sent pics. Looked up their Venmo, sent the money—then the excuses started. "Wrong account," "can’t process payments," blah blah. Turns out the "business" account was just some guy’s personal one. Now they’re refusing to ship the part, even after I sent proof of payment *twice*. Absolute scam. Run the other way. ---

I needed some obscure sensor that half the salvage yards wouldn’t even bother checking for. Most places don’t stock the small stuff, and if they do, it’s usually backordered. But Teddy Bear’s? They actually took the time to look. No attitude, no "sorry, we don’t have it" brush-off—just straight-up help. And when I say they didn’t overcharge me, I mean it. They could’ve easily hiked the price, but they didn’t. That’s the kind of place you want to support. ---

Honestly, the crew at Teddy Bear’s is a riot—friendly, quick, and actually *helpful*, which is rare these days. I called around to five different shops in Tampa Bay looking for parts, and this was the only place where the website wasn’t a mess and the people didn’t treat me like a nuisance. One phone call, and it was handled. Meanwhile, some of the "highly rated" spots made me jump through hoops just to get a straight answer. And their prices? Beat everyone else’s by a mile. Seriously, these guys are the real deal. ---

I was *this* close to leaving a five-star review last night. Called ahead to drop off a car body, called again on the way to say I was almost there, and when I showed up right before closing, they turned me away. Then Kevin stepped in—said he’d unload it quick, took my info, and vanished. That’s the five-star part. But today? Called to settle up, and suddenly the scrap "wasn’t worth anything" and would cost *them* money to process. If it was worthless, why take it at 5 PM in the first place? Lesson learned: don’t trust the hype. ---
