Overview

Two Little Bee's Auto Parts - Indianapolis, IN

Two Little Bee's Auto Parts is a self-service auto salvage yard at 505 S Tibbs Ave in Indianapolis. Customers find and remove their own parts from vehicles on the lot. The yard carries parts for cars, trucks, and other vehicles, but staff don’t help with the process. It’s been around for years, though most of its info is on Facebook.

Services & What to Expect

This is a true self-service yard. You browse the lot, pick your parts, and take them yourself—no staff help. No appointments are needed, and you won’t find tools or safety gear on-site. Vehicles are grouped by type, so you can find parts for specific makes and models more easily.

Common parts include engines, transmissions, body panels, bumpers, doors, and interior pieces. You’re responsible for checking parts before you take them—no guarantees or warranties. Prices are set per part, and you pay at the office before leaving.

The yard doesn’t buy junk cars or offer vehicle removal. If you need to sell an old car, check our cash for junk cars page for local buyers.

What to Bring

  • Basic tools like sockets, wrenches, and pry bars
  • Safety gear—gloves, eye protection, and closed-toe shoes
  • Your vehicle’s VIN or license plate if you need to match parts
  • Cash or accepted payment (ask the office for details)
  • A helper, since some parts take two people to remove safely

How Self-Service Works

  1. Show up during business hours and check in at the office if needed.
  2. Walk the lot to find the vehicle with the part you need.
  3. Check the part for condition and compatibility with your car.
  4. Remove the part using your own tools—staff won’t assist.
  5. Take the part to the office to pay.
  6. Leave with your part—no returns or exchanges after purchase.

Used to be decent, but now? The people there don’t even try. No one bothers to talk to you like a normal person. Just rude, short answers, like they’d rather you weren’t there. Not worth the hassle. ---

Stopped by the office first, just to ask around since I’d heard about a place on Tibbs that shut down a few months back without me knowing. The two guys working the desk were real friendly—pointed me right to where the cars I was hunting for were parked. Figured I’d just poke around, see what they had. Then I stepped into the yard itself. At first, I was actually impressed—way more cars than I expected, and honestly, it’d been ages since I’d been to a junkyard, so it was kind of a trip. But then this older guy, probably in his late 50s, didn’t even bother walking over. Just yelled from wherever he was standing, asking what we were doing. I told him we were just looking for a couple specific models, and he snapped back, *“We don’t let people in here just to look.”* Like I’d personally offended him or something. The whole thing felt ridiculous—especially since the office guys had been so easygoing, and now I had no idea who actually ran the place. If browsing isn’t allowed, they should say that up front, not make customers feel like they’re doing something wrong. I went back inside to ask about prices, and the office guys acted like nothing had happened. No heads-up, no apology, nothing. The selection’s great, but unless you’re buddies with the guy out back, I’d think twice before wandering around. ---

Went in to talk to the owner, David. Right off the bat, he was all over me—too touchy, too flirty, made the whole thing uncomfortable. Then he lied about something, just to keep the act going. No way I’d send any woman there alone. Stay away. ---

Didn’t have what I needed, but at least one guy gave me some info. Not holding my breath, though—doubt I’ll find it in a junkyard. Got a 2012 Tahoe PPV, and the front tires were a nightmare. Too big, rubbing against the truck, then they just started shredding apart. No other way to describe it. If anyone’s got a lead on 265/60/17 tires—used, decent shape—let me know. ---
