Vrba's Parts at 2003 E Lincoln Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80524

Vrba's Parts is a Fort Collins auto salvage yard that specializes in Volkswagen and other European car parts. Located at 2003 E Lincoln Ave, this self-service junkyard carries used auto parts, scrap metal, and salvage components for DIY mechanics and repair shops. The business is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with no weekend or holiday hours. While Volkswagen parts are the focus, they also stock components for other makes and models. Customers can browse and remove parts themselves without needing an appointment. If you have an old vehicle to sell, Vrba's Parts may buy junk cars—check their cash for junk cars page for details.

Services & What to Expect

Vrba's Parts is a self-service salvage yard, meaning customers can enter during business hours to find and remove parts on their own. The yard is organized to help mechanics and repair professionals locate what they need, though staff can answer basic questions if needed. They specialize in Volkswagen parts but also carry components for other European and domestic vehicles.

What You Can Find

  • Used auto parts: Engines, transmissions, suspension components, electrical parts, interior trim, and body panels.
  • Volkswagen parts: A strong selection of VW components, including air-cooled and water-cooled models, making it a good spot for VW owners.
  • Scrap metal: Copper, aluminum, and steel available at competitive prices.
  • Batteries and tires: A selection of used batteries and tires at lower costs.
  • Salvage vehicles: Whole cars available for part-out or repair projects.

How Self-Service Works

Staff can assist with simple questions, but the yard is set up for hands-on browsing. Payment is handled at the counter after you pick your parts.

Other Services

Vrba's Parts mainly runs as a self-service salvage yard, but they also offer:

  • Used parts sales without needing an appointment.
For repairs beyond part sales, you’ll need to take parts to your own mechanic or install them yourself.

  • Tools for part removal, if needed.
  • Vehicle details (make, model, year) to match parts correctly.
  • A payment method (cash, card, or check, depending on what they accept).

Ordered the headlights like you told me to, but I’m not sure they even helped. Watched you install one, and honestly? I don’t know if you did it right—I’m not a mechanic, but after looking it up, it seems like there’s a specific way they go in. The bulb you replaced didn’t work either. Turns out the bracket holding it was bent, so I had to pay $500 to fix it. The bulb itself was fine once the bracket was swapped out. So yeah, $600 later (including the $100 I gave you), and all I’ve got is a working light. One star, and it’s not even close to being generous. ---

Found Brian Vrba for my ’73 Superbeetle, and man, what a difference. After years of getting screwed over at other shops, this guy actually knows what he’s doing—and he’s honest about it. Took the time to explain things, didn’t rush me, and didn’t try to upsell me on junk I didn’t need. First mechanic in Northern Colorado I’ve trusted in a long time. Seriously, if you’ve got a VW, go see him. ---

Called on a weekend when Vrba’s was closed, and the owner showed up within an hour to help us out. Knew his stuff when it came to our vanagon, answered all our questions, and got us back on the road for our trip. Saved our vacation—can’t thank him enough for that. ---

Don’t bother. Got my vanagon’s head gaskets done here, and they lasted less than 14 months—4,000 miles—before blowing out completely. Passenger side was just *starting* to weep when I brought it in, but they didn’t even machine anything. Reused the original studs, which is apparently a huge mistake. I flat-out told them if anything else looked like it needed replacing, to just do it—especially the studs or heads. Instead, they JB-welded a crack in my exhaust. Quality? About what you’d expect from a junkyard. Wouldn’t recommend. ---

Heard nothing but good things about Brian from friends who’ve had him work on their VWs, so I finally took my vanagon in. No surprises, no hidden fees—just straight-up honest work. If you’re in Northern Colorado and need a VW guy you can actually trust, he’s the one.
