Services & What to Expect

Worley's Scrap & Iron is a self-service salvage yard. Customers search the lot themselves for parts from various vehicle makes and models, including engines, transmissions, suspension parts, and body panels. Scrap metal is also available for purchase or recycling.

Self-Service Salvage Process

To find parts, visit during business hours and look through the lot. The yard doesn’t have an online inventory, so you’ll need to check parts in person. Basic tools for disassembly are usually on-site for free. Once you find what you need, remove it yourself and pay at the front office.

Scrap Metal & Recycling

The yard takes scrap metal and unwanted vehicle parts, like brake calipers or transmission casings. A small fee applies for drop-offs. Call ahead to check current recycling fees or rules.

What to Bring

  • A vehicle if testing parts on-site
  • Basic tools (if the yard doesn’t have what you need)
  • Payment (cash, credit, or debit—confirm before you go)
  • Vehicle ID if buying high-value parts

Limitations & Notes

Worley's Scrap & Iron doesn’t offer part warranties—sales are final. You’re responsible for checking part fit before buying. The yard doesn’t tow or dispose of vehicles, so you’ll need to transport parts yourself. For selling a junk car, try a local cash-for-cars service instead.

The guy never bothered to explain why the price jumped so much between "clean" and "dirty" aluminum before he weighed my engine heads. Now I’m pretty sure he just stripped the cams and valves off after I left and kept the extra cash for himself. Won’t be back here again. ---

This place pays the most for scrap I’ve ever seen. You’re in and out in under 10 minutes—no waiting around. They hand you cash right there. The little store inside where they sell parts from wrecked cars is a goldmine too—stuff’s dirt cheap, and you never know what you’ll find. I always poke around when I’m there. The girl at the counter is super nice, but some of the other guys can come off a little rough. Still, it’s worth it. ---

Trying to back an 18-wheeler in here is a nightmare—the space is way too tight. And their scale? Completely off. I got weighed there, then again at a certified scale, and the numbers didn’t even come close. Had to go back and rearrange my load because they said I was overweight. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re hauling heavy.

Absolute scam artists. I sold them two loads of clean, solid metal—first one was 7,200 pounds, and they gave me $535. The next day, I brought in 14,000 pounds, and the guy in the office, who had a terrible attitude, only paid me $440. When I called him out on ripping me off, he said I had to pay to cut the metal into smaller pieces. Unbelievable. If I didn’t need the money, I’d just toss my scrap in the trash before dealing with these people again. They don’t even deserve a star. ---
