I hauled it somewhere else and got $4.50 – 100 lbs. The week before, I had hauled scrap and 10 riding mower engines. She didn't tell me I could've got more $ by just selling the whole load as scrap, instead of separating breakage from scrap. They will rip you off if they feel they can. No honesty from these people. The thieves in town all know this and steal anything metal. BBQ grills, kids bikes, outside furniture, vehicles, air conditioners, etc… The people working there are some of the rudest and unhelpful people. There is no order. People will just keep coming in and you're stuck waiting to leave but can't. They also do a horrible job at keeping the drop off zone decent. The screw in your tire will cost more to fix than you'll get from a truck load of scrap. The few times I've been, the drop off area has tons of screws everywhere. It isn't worth it if you get a flat from their property. I would recommend going to Bailey Recycling & scrap metals. The property is much cleaner and they are super helpful and polite.
