If you’re scrapping metal and want a straight deal, this is the spot. Yeah, you might have to unload your own stuff, but honestly? If that’s too much work for you, maybe scrapping isn’t your thing anyway. ---
Look, I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this place is a mess. I called ahead to ask if they’d take steel wheels with tires still on them. The guy said yeah, but they’d dock me for the rubber. Fine, whatever. I show up, sit on the scale for five minutes while some dude ignores me to finish his phone call. Finally, he wanders over and hits me with, *"Oh yeah, my bad—I lied on the phone. We don’t actually take tires with wheels. Too expensive to get rid of them."* I didn’t even bother answering, just started backing off the scale. Then he had to add, *"This is a recycling center, not a trash dump,"* like I was supposed to care about his two loose tires sitting on my trailer. Guess when you work at a junkyard and can’t even get your own story straight, you gotta make up for it by being a smartass. Save yourself the headache—don’t go here. ---
The staff here are solid—no attitude, no games. They’ll even help you sort your metal so you don’t miss out on any money. After getting ripped off at other places, it’s nice to find one that doesn’t treat you like a walking wallet.
Found this place online, drove an hour and ten minutes just to pull up at 4:20 and see the gate locked. Closed early, no warning, nothing. I was already annoyed from the drive, and now I’m just sitting there like an idiot. Not sure if I’ll even bother trying again today. Last time I got screwed over by a scrap yard, I swore I’d never let it happen again—but at this rate, I might not have a choice. ---
The people here are actually decent, and they’ll even help you unload your stuff if you need it. No funny business with the prices either, which is more than I can say for most scrap yards. If you’re selling metal or aluminum, this is the place to go. ---
