Sold my car to this place last November. Fast-forward to January, and I get a registration notice in the mail—because apparently, I’m still on the hook for fees even though the car was supposed to be a dead loss. Turns out, they never actually transferred the title, so now I’ve got to drag myself to the Treasurer’s office with a signed affidavit just to prove I sold the damn thing. Good thing I snapped a photo of the title when I handed it over, or I’d be screwed. Fifty bucks saved for them, but a whole lot of hassle for me. And now I’m missing work because the buyer never registered it in their name. Feels like a scam. ---

Brought in a full trailer load of scrap metal and a truck bed’s worth, too. Prices are in the toilet right now, so I only walked away with $84.
