Honestly, the crew here is way more welcoming than the scrap yard in Muncie. Yeah, they don’t pay as much per pound, but at least they don’t make you feel like you’re wasting their time. The place is decently clean, too—no major messes or junk piled everywhere. ---
Been dropping off scrap at this place for ages, and it’s always a smooth, no-hassle trip. The staff actually remembers you and treats you like a real person—not just some random guy off the street. Dropped off aluminum, copper, and a bunch of crushed cans, but when I checked the receipt later, the cans weren’t even on it. Next time, I’m weighing everything myself before I hand it over. ---
The guys here were so much nicer than I expected—like, genuinely friendly. And the best part? They crush the cans for you, which is a *huge* deal when you’re not exactly mobile. Fort Wayne OmniSource makes you do it yourself, and that’s a pain when you’re already struggling. I’ll be back every time I’ve got scrap to unload. (If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.)
We almost got sideswiped by a forklift because the guy operating it didn’t bother asking us to move our car. Then, after sitting there for 20 minutes with no one even acknowledging us, we finally left. We were the only customers in the place, and they still couldn’t be bothered to help. ---
