From the second we pulled in, everyone was friendly and actually took the time to help us sort through our haul. No one rushed us, no one acted like we were wasting their time. By the time we left, we were glad we made the trip. Next time we’ve got a pile of scrap sitting around, we’re heading straight back here. ---

Turns out, I had nothing to worry about—the guy who answered the phone was patient, the staff in the office walked me through everything, and even the workers outside helped me unload two massive pieces I couldn’t budge alone. Their website’s got all the info you need upfront, too. Honestly, the whole thing went smoother than I thought it would. If you’ve got scrap to drop off, this place is worth checking out. ---
Worst experience I’ve had at a scrap yard. These guys gave zero direction—just pointed and said “go there.” Asked if they’d take my old fridge, and they flat-out said no. Then, when I came back later to grab the doors, they’d already started tearing it apart and refused to let me near it. On top of that, they sent me to some other place in Rhode Island like it was my problem. Absolute waste of time. ---
Dropped off some copper—clean and dirty, packed in those flimsy plastic bins—and realized after I left that they’d marked the tare weight on the trash bins as 20 and 19 pounds. Those bins couldn’t have weighed more than three pounds combined. That’s $125 they shorted me, easy. And it’s not even consistent—there’s one guy there who’s actually decent, but the rest act like the scrap is theirs to keep. You roll the dice on who you get.
