I didn’t expect to walk away from a scrap yard smiling, but damn—every single person here was actually nice. Not that fake "how can I help you" energy, either. They just seemed like they enjoyed being there. If I didn’t already have a job, I’d be tempted to ask if they were hiring just to work with people that cheerful. ---
Not sure if my receipt got messed up, but the price I got for my B&S was way better than what other places were offering—like, over a dollar cheaper than the going rate. Some spots were charging 40 to 60 cents less than market, but these guys beat that by even more. Probably just a happy accident, since they’re usually solid. ---
This place is a lifesaver for contractors. I’ve been bringing my project scraps here for years, and it’s always a smooth process. The yard’s organized, the staff’s polite, and they don’t try to lowball you. If you’re in the trade, you’d be stupid not to check them out. —John ---
R&R auto wrecking is where it’s at for scrap. The prices are fair, they move fast, and the guy running the yard is a straight shooter. Plus, their dogs are cool as hell—way better than the places I used to go, like SM and Bedford. Those spots had long lines and worse rates, so I don’t even bother anymore. If you’re dumping scrap, this is the spot. ---
They pay fair cash for scrap, and it’s quick. The only thing they don’t take is cans and bottles, but there are other places nearby that specialize in those anyway, so no big deal. The real win? You can buy recycled stainless steel fixtures at the same price they’d pay you for scrap. Picked up a barely used faucet for my brother-in-law for next to nothing—total steal.
