I usually skip writing reviews unless something’s great or awful. This place? Completely awful. We had a huge bin of metal to drop off at a recycling yard. Normally we’d go to B&B Metal since they pay way more than Sadoff, but with gas prices and just one load, it just wasn’t worth it. Their hours online say they close at 4pm, and I’ve been there before and it’s always true—but today at 3:40pm they were locking up early. They told us to come back another time or drop it off and they wouldn’t pay us. I’m serious. So they’re open another 20 minutes, there’s barely anyone around, they couldn’t take two minutes to weigh one bin, and instead they wanted me to waste another trip just to maybe get ten bucks? No thanks. I left it for them to keep for free. Bottom line—this place is all about nickel-and-diming you. B&B pays way better and keeps it simple. Skip this mess and go to St Cloud or Newton instead.

The people here actually know their stuff and treated me right. I started at the front office because the signs were confusing at first. Still, everyone I talked to knew exactly what to do and got me pointed in the right direction for scrapping my copper.

The guy who "helps" unload your stuff? Total disaster. He’s the same one who’s wrecked our vehicle twice now—just careless as hell. If you don’t want your car scratched up or dented, steer clear of this place. ---

When I called them out, the woman acted like I should’ve known better—like she’d have given me the right price if I’d just asked first. Then she claimed she never told me to come back, and the manager blamed "corporate policies." Now I’m sitting here waiting for someone who isn’t even here. Oh, and they had the nerve to grill me about where I got the metal, like *they* didn’t take it from me in the first place. This place is a scam, and I’m reporting them. ---

Went in today, no issues. The guy weighed my scrap iron, pointed me to where to unload, and I was in and out in 30 minutes—even with 660 pounds by myself. No hassle, no attitude, just straight-up professional. Yeah, it’s a scrap yard, so it’s messy, but that’s the deal. Prices fluctuate, and right now, demand’s low, so don’t expect a windfall. But they were fair, and I didn’t feel like I was getting screwed. ---

Just left this yard, and I’m pissed. My receipt shows way less than what their website promised—$0.40 a pound for clean aluminum, but I got $0.16. Electric motors? Some were $0.02, others $0.05, when other yards pay $0.20. I brought in clean, prepped metal, and they still lowballed me. This is straight-up ripping people off.
