I brought in ten aluminum rims today, each weighing twenty-one pounds. Their scale showed a total of only one hundred eighty-nine pounds. Right now they’re paying $1.30 per pound for clean rims and that’s exactly twenty-one pounds missing from my total. Two seven bucks short. Not stepping foot in there again with a single ounce of anything.

Good money for your scrap, easy to talk to staff who know what they’re doing, and they’ll actually take the time to make sure you walk away with the best deal possible.

My go-to spot for recycling now. The staff’s always helpful and they don’t mess around loading you back up to the copper dock and sending you straight to scale for steel. Best prices in town and it’s the only place I bother with anymore.

Back when this yard was still G and J it was decent, but not anymore. It’s basically just good for scrap steel now. Ten minutes south in Festus you’ll find S.A., which is way more professional—they paid top dollar for my copper and brass. When the old owner passed things went downhill fast, and after they sold to Scrap Mart I checked out their Fenton location instead. That place is solid, but this one just doesn’t compare.

The crew here’s always friendly and quick. They get you in and out fast, which is why I keep coming back. Solid customer service keeps me coming more often than not.

The place is fine—easy in, easy out—but they’ve got a 300-pound minimum on steel scrap, or they won’t even bother paying you. If you’re hauling less than that, save the gas and go somewhere else. Not worth the trip for small loads. ---

First time bringing in scrap steel and aluminum, and it couldn’t have been simpler. The guys working there were actually nice—no hassle, no attitude—just straightforward help. The scales didn’t lie either, which is always a plus in this business. I’ll be back with more stuff soon, no question. ---

These folks run a tight ship, and I mean that in the best way. No side-eye, no attitude—just fair treatment no matter who walks in. They work hard under that sun, and you can tell they actually care about doing right by people. I drive 30 minutes out of my way just to bring my scrap here because the price is solid and the crew’s good people. Wouldn’t take it anywhere else. ---

Tim Moore made this whole thing painless. Knew his stuff, didn’t waste my time, and actually seemed to care about getting it right. I’ll be back next time I need parts or scrap—no reason not to. ---

The people there are all right, but their scale’s way off. Dropped off 1,000 pounds of old Olympic weights, and it only registered 880. Tried to track down who owns the place to say something, but no luck. Maybe if I leave this review, they’ll finally get it fixed.
