Scrap Processors Inc at 608 SE 30th St, Des Moines, IA 50317

I walked in and got greeted right away. The prices were straight-up fair, and the place was spotless inside. Everyone I talked to was professional and knew their stuff.

Super quick service—the first time someone actually bothered to use a magnet to fish stuff out of the back of my truck. Couldn’t believe it was that simple. Overall, a smooth experience.

Brought in some old appliances and computer bits, and it all got handled fast. Easy way to clean things out without the hassle.

Dropped off my scrap metal in the morning, walked away with cash by the time I finished my coffee. Solid service, good prices, no issues at all.

First time selling scrap, and I was a little nervous—turns out I didn’t need to be. The guys there walked me through the whole thing step by step, even with my friends tagging along and asking questions. Made the whole process way smoother than I expected. ---

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I showed up with a bunch of old light fixtures from our house, but the team at Scrap Processors didn’t bat an eye. They treated me like a regular, even though I’m definitely not their usual customer. It felt good dropping off those fixtures knowing they’d actually get recycled instead of ending up in a dump somewhere. ---

The staff is super friendly, and the prices are solid—no surprises there. The place itself looks well-maintained, like they actually care about keeping things up to date. My only gripe? If you pay by check, it takes *two hours* to clear, and there’s zero warning about that up front. Cash would’ve gotten me a full five stars, no question. ---

Every single person who works here is just *nice*—not that fake customer-service nice, but actually helpful. And get this, they even had stuff set aside for my kids to play with while I was there. Kept them busy and out of trouble, which is a win in my book.

This place is legit. Prices are fair, the equipment looks brand new, and the whole yard is actually clean—which, let’s be honest, isn’t always the case with scrap yards. If you’re looking to unload metal, this is the spot. No complaints here. ---
