I needed a Subaru subframe, found it on car-part.com, and called to check if they had it. They did, but it wasn't stripped yet, so I figured I'd wait a week before picking it up. Friday rolled around, and an employee sent me a payment link to buy it. I decided that Saturday would be the day I finally placed the order. Then, after waiting over two weeks for them to call and move things along, they told me it was gone. Someone else bought it because I paid on a non-business day, and the employee straight up said they "don't know how to check who paid for what parts if they don't realize you paid." So instead of checking orders over the weekend like they should, they expect you to call and remind them to do their job. Waiting three weeks for them to let me know it was ready, and then getting told it’s gone because they didn’t track my payment? That’s not how a business should operate.

I needed a door for my car and found one here in great shape with the exact same color as my vehicle for a really good price. The place also had some cool sculptures around, and everyone seemed pretty friendly.

The whole process went smoothly. Brook and Karlee were really helpful and made everything easy. Prices were right too. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I’ve been dealing with Matlocks for 15 years now, and I can honestly say Karlee is the best person I’ve ever talked to there. She’s got that kind of attitude you wish more people had—just plain nice, no fuss. It’s not hard to be friendly, and it doesn’t cost a thing. You know how it goes: you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. ---

Let me save you some time and gas—don’t bother with this place. I called in for part “a,” drove 3.5 hours each way to pick it up, and got home only to find out it was actually part “b.” When I called to complain, they said the tag must’ve been wrong at the other yard. So what’s my recourse? Drive it back or pay to ship it myself. I asked if *they* could cover the shipping since it wasn’t my mistake. The answer? “Nope.” Then I pointed out their customer service is terrible, and they should just do the right thing. The guy on the phone just reminded me they’re a 12-million-dollar company, like that was supposed to impress me. I told him they could be a 20-million-dollar company if they actually cared about fixing their mess. Don’t waste your time here.

The guy on the phone said there were 11 steering shafts we needed in stock, but when we got there, most weren’t even pulled or listed. Kaylee didn’t just shrug it off—she dug around and found one that looked like it’d work. Then Andrew actually went out into the warehouse to grab it for us. No fuss, no attitude, just straightforward help. Oh, and the yard’s got some cool sculptures scattered around, which was a nice little surprise. ---

Honestly, Karlee and Andrew made the whole process so much easier than I expected. They didn’t just answer my questions—they took the time to explain things in a way that actually made sense, not like I was being rushed out the door. You could tell they weren’t just going through the motions; they seemed to genuinely care about making sure I didn’t leave feeling confused or unsure. The whole experience was smooth, and I left feeling like I’d made the right choice. If you’re dealing with a salvage yard and want people who actually listen, these two are the ones to ask for. ---

I’ve bought a couple BMW motors here, and they’ve all been solid. Kaylee and Andrew are both easy to talk to and actually helpful, not the kind of place where you feel like you’re wasting their time. I’ll definitely be back when I need parts again—no reason to go anywhere else when the service is this good.

I don’t get the bad reviews at all—Karlee was nothing but positive and easy to work with. Okay, full disclosure, I messed up my order and gave the wrong info, which meant the transmission I got was the wrong one. But instead of making me feel stupid about it, she just fixed it. Ordered a new one from another yard, and it showed up right when she said it would. If a place can handle a screw-up like that without drama, I’ll keep coming back. ---

My husband and I needed a car door, and Karlee didn’t stop until we found the *perfect* one. She didn’t just point us to the first decent option—she kept looking until we had the right fit. Seriously, the level of effort she put in was next-level. If more places had customer service like hers, people wouldn’t dread dealing with salvage yards. ---
