This place is awesome—really nice folks who actually listen and can track down pretty much any part you need at prices that don’t make you cry. Never once felt like I was getting hustled, which is a nice change.

Been going to Modern for years because I thought their people were decent. Two weeks ago, Melissa S. sold me a 2016 Ford Edge engine—she said the only issue was a bad front cover, so I took her word for it. Dropped it in, and within minutes it sounded like a garbage disposal full of ball bearings. Called Melissa to ask what happened, and instead of helping, she wanted me to pinpoint exactly which bearing was trashed. When I said fine, just pay the diagnostic labor, she acted like that was some unreasonable request and refused. Like, come on lady, pay me to tear the thing apart so you can verify your junk sale? Also, funny how "screwing customers over" apparently only happens to shops that don’t buy in bulk. Nice business model. We used to get parts through Kevin at Polo Auto Sales until they stopped answering the phone—left two messages already. Maybe if you spent less time judging my shop’s cleanliness and more time actually standing behind your parts, you’d stop getting these reviews.

Orders arrive fast, the price tag made sense, and the part looked exactly like the photo when it showed up. Plain and simple—they get it right, and they do it without wasting my time.

First off, this isn’t a pick-and-pull—you’ll need to leave a deposit for the parts you want. And honestly, the website’s photos are pretty hit-or-miss. If you’re looking for something like an interior panel or bodywork, good luck figuring out the condition before you get there. I managed to find what I needed, and it turned out to be in decent shape. The 30-day warranty helps, and even with the gamble, it was way cheaper than buying new (we’re talking $800+ for the OEM part). Just know you’re rolling the dice a little—inventory moves fast, and what’s listed today might be gone tomorrow.

Honestly, after 20 years in the auto game—technician, parts counter, service advisor—I’ve seen a lot of places. But Modern Imports? They’re the real deal. The whole team just *gets it*. No nonsense, no wasted time, and they actually care about doing things right. Ricky’s the guy I always go to for engines, and he’s the kind of person who makes the whole process smooth. Patient, flexible, and his communication is next-level. I’ve dealt with a lot of shops and yards over the years, but this place stands out for how they handle business. Not just good—*good*.

Needed a transmission, and these guys not only found the right one but made sure I got it at the best price. And hey, it works like a charm. Good parts, fair pricing, and the staff—especially Ricky—went out of their way to help. Seriously, if you’re hunting for auto parts, this is the place. I’ll be back.

Picked up a trunk lid, and the people were super friendly and easy to work with. The part itself, though? Not what the listing promised. It was marked as “000” (no damage), but the rear lip where it meets the glass was all scratched up—like someone dragged it across concrete without a care. Paint was gone in spots, metal was chewed up, and there were a couple deep scratches on the top. Oh, and a dime-sized dent that’s pretty obvious if you’re looking from the right angle. It’s still usable, but it’s definitely not “undamaged.” Lesson learned: *always* inspect the part before you leave, or you’ll be stuck touching up paint for days. That said, I saved a ton by buying local instead of ordering one shipped. And hey, they gave me 25% back for the hassle, so it wasn’t a total loss.

I was hunting for a 5.7 Vortec engine and a bumper cover for my ’13 Veloster Turbo. They didn’t have the engine, but they pointed me in the right direction for the cover and even offered to order one if I wanted. No pressure, just straight-up helpful. The whole experience was smooth—friendly people, great service. If I need parts again, I’m coming back here.
