Overview

Randy's Auto Parts at 899 Broad St, Auburn, ME 04210

Randy's Auto Parts is a salvage yard in Auburn where you can find used car parts for repairs, restorations, or upgrades. The yard works on a "u-pull-it" system—you browse the lot yourself, find what you need, and remove it without help.

They carry a range of parts from salvaged vehicles, including engines, transmissions, body panels, and interior components. The yard also handles scrap metal and junk car removal, though details on buying cars aren’t listed online.

What to Find & How It Works

Randy's Auto Parts is a salvage yard, so you’ll need to search the lot yourself for parts. They don’t offer online inventory or part lookup tools, so you’ll have to visit in person.

Common parts available include:

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Body panels (doors, hoods, fenders, bumpers)
  • Mechanical parts (radiators, mufflers, starters, alternators)
  • Interior components (seats, dashboards, trim)
  • Suspension and drivetrain parts
  • Scrap metal and salvageable materials

The yard doesn’t provide tools for disassembly, so bring your own. Payment is usually cash-only, but check ahead if you prefer another method. Randy’s has been in business for over 35 years, sourcing parts from salvaged vehicles in the area.

If you have a junk car to sell, Randy’s may buy it for scrap, but their process isn’t detailed online. For cash offers on junk cars, check our junk car buying guide for local options.

We called from Pennsylvania, a state I used to live in, hunting for a unicorn part and somehow these folks tracked it down and even saved us a trip by finding one closer to home. Their customer service is solid, and I don’t hesitate to recommend them. Thanks again.

Got the part I needed fast and the price was fair. No complaints here—I’m sold.

I phoned about removing a couple of vehicles from my property. Told Randy straight up I wasn’t worried about getting paid, just wanted them gone. Two days later I checked in and he said no thanks and hung up. The guy’s got a rotten attitude and honestly it’s a wonder he doesn’t have a pile of one-star reviews. Had the titles ready, even offered for him to come see them in person, but nope—cut me off and hung up the second I said free vehicles. After that snub, none of my rides will ever see his lot. Hope his business survives his poor choices.

Found exactly what I was looking for—no running around to other places. The prices on the used parts were way better than I expected, and the staff made the whole thing easy. No hassle, just good service.

Saw my Facebook plea for a rear hatch after my window busted, and Joe at Randy’s actually messaged me to say they had two. I drove all the way from Augusta to Auburn for it and I’m glad I did—the thing fits like it’s supposed to. Surprised me how good it looks even with the different color, people actually compliment it now. Joe went way past what I expected, so next time I need something I’m definitely heading back there.

My rear hatch window was shattered, and I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere. I even posted about it on Facebook, hoping someone might have one. Out of nowhere, Joe from Randy’s messaged me—turns out they had two in stock. I drove all the way from Augusta to Auburn, but it was worth it. The part fits like it was made for my car, and honestly, I kind of like the color mismatch—people have even commented on how it looks. Joe didn’t just sell me the part; he went out of his way to help. Next time I need something, Randy’s is where I’m going. ---

I didn’t find the part I needed, but instead of just saying no, they actually looked up who might have it nearby and gave me their number. That’s more than most places would do. ---

These guys don’t care about customers at all. They promised to tow my car and junk it by the afternoon, but it’s 4 PM and they’re closing in an hour. Still no tow. Then they said they’d pick it up Monday, but called me Wednesday instead. Oh, and they offered me $100 for a car everyone else quoted at $225. Makes you wonder why they lowball so hard and treat people like garbage. ---

The owner acted annoyed every time my husband talked to him. He quoted a price for two cars, towed them away, and then paid $100 less than what he’d said. Wouldn’t send anyone there. ---
