Cars in various conditions (from lightly damaged to salvage)

Popular Auto Parts
When visiting Marion County Auto Parts and Salvage, certain auto parts are consistently in high demand due to their cost-effectiveness when purchased used. Based on the salvage yard industry patterns, these are the most commonly sought parts:
Body Panels & Sheet Metal
Fenders, doors, hoods, and trunk lids are frequent purchases for collision repairs. These parts are often structurally sound in junked vehicles and can save hundreds compared to new OEM parts. For example, if you need to find a used car hood for sale, you’ll likely find multiple options at varying price points.
Engines & Transmissions
Complete powertrains are popular due to their high replacement costs when purchased new. The yard’s engine and transmission warranty provides peace of mind when making these major purchases. For major engine issues, finding a used engine block can save thousands on repairs.
Wheels & Tires
Used wheels (both alloy and steel) with matching tires offer significant savings. Many customers look for factory OEM wheels or upgrade options from higher trim models of the same vehicle.
Seats & Upholstery
Replacement seats, especially for trucks and SUVs, are in high demand when interior parts wear out. The salvage yard provides access to complete seat assemblies that would be prohibitively expensive new.
Electronics & Electrical Components
Alternators, starters, and wiring harnesses are frequently purchased. These parts often remain functional in vehicles that were totaled for structural reasons.
Auto Parts Pricing
Marion County Auto Parts and Salvage maintains competitive pricing on their extensive inventory of used auto parts. Here’s a sample of their current pricing structure:
These prices reflect parts sold “as-is” with core charges deducted upon return of usable cores. The pricing structure offers significant savings compared to new parts, especially for major components like engines and transmissions.

Interchange System for Parts Compatibility
Marion County Auto Parts and Salvage employs a proprietary interchange system to help customers identify compatible parts across different vehicles. This system provides detailed compatibility information, including OEM specifications, to ensure parts fit correctly. Here’s how it works:
Online Inventory Search: Customers use the yard’s online inventory tool to locate specific vehicle models in the yard. If a particular model isn’t available, staff can assist with alternatives.
Compatibility Guidance: The interchange system cross-references parts from various vehicles, enabling customers to determine if components from other models (e.g., engines, seats, or headlights) are compatible with their own vehicle.
Staff Assistance: Knowledgeable employees help customers navigate the system and verify part compatibility, particularly when physical inspection isn’t feasible.
This approach streamlines the self-service process, reducing guesswork and ensuring customers select the right parts efficiently. The system’s focus on OEM compatibility aligns with the yard’s emphasis on quality and accuracy in recycled auto parts.
If you’re looking for specific parts like used car headlights, the interchange system can help identify all compatible options from different makes and models.

This place has grown a lot since last year. There's a lot more cars, and there's a little bit of everything, including some older iron.
The special weekends with the deals on parts in the side yard is an added bonus, provided there is something in that smaller yard for you.
There's always plenty of wheelbarrows to help you carry your tools and small parts and they're not broken down junk ones like other yards who don't maintain anything.
The yard is free of tall grass and weeds that you can't see through unlike other nearby yards.
The staff are for the most part friendly, and helpful.
The only negative thing I can say about this yard is the lack of customer restrooms, not even a port o john.
Sometimes you can be out there for hours trying to pull parts, and the lack of restrooms for customers is a real inconvenience.
And the nearest location is a mile and a half away at a convenient store.
Still this place is a big help as this area has fewer u-pull yards than it used to, and there's not a jerk at the front gate who makes up his own prices whenever he feels like it, and hoards all of the good parts for himself.
Thanks to this team for keeping this location together so that your customers want to come back.

Pretty decent place, but be very mindful. I bought a few things from here and when I called to asked questions I found out that they were lying to me about many things. Make sure if you by any engines that they already pulled make sure they have some form of documentation that stated they tested the engine. Anything you purchased from here make sure you have a full understanding of there policy and returns. They will try to screw you over if given the opportunity.
