Vehicle Types: Classic Treasures Await
Riley Automotive Recycling Enterprise maintains an inventory focused on vintage and antique vehicles from the 1950s through the 1970s. Unlike other junkyards that prioritize modern vehicles, Riley’s specializes in classic cars and trucks, making them a go-to destination for restoration enthusiasts throughout Georgia.
Their extensive inventory includes hundreds of makes and models from this era, with parts ranging from:
Body parts: Side panels, headlight units, doors, fenders
Engine parts: Carburetors, transmissions
Interior fixtures: Seats, dashboards, trim pieces
Farm equipment and ATV parts
The salvage yard does not emphasize newer or late-model vehicles in their inventory, instead focusing on classic American cars and trucks. This specialization makes Riley Automotive Recycling Enterprise a destination yard for car enthusiasts working on restoration projects throughout the Southeast.
Popular Auto Parts: What Customers Seek Most
When visiting Riley Automotive Recycling Enterprise or similar salvage yards, customers typically search for major mechanical and structural parts that offer significant savings compared to new OEM parts. Based on industry trends, these are the most sought-after used auto parts:
1. Engines and Transmissions
These big-ticket items represent the greatest savings opportunity. At Riley’s, you’ll find vintage engines and transmissions from classic American cars of the 1950s–70s era, making them especially valuable for restoration projects. Many customers travel significant distances specifically for these hard-to-find mechanical hearts.
2. Body Panels
Door panels, fenders, hoods, and bumpers from vintage vehicles are highly prized at Riley Automotive. These parts are especially valuable for restoration projects since they’re often impossible to find new and expensive to fabricate. Finding an original door panel for a 1960s muscle car can save thousands in custom fabrication costs.
3. Interior Components
Seats, dashboards, and other cabin parts from classic vehicles represent another category where Riley Automotive excels. These parts are particularly valuable because they often feature materials and designs that are no longer manufactured.
4. Electrical Components
Vintage starters, alternators, and other electrical systems are popular among buyers looking to maintain period correctness in their classic car restorations. Riley’s stock of older electrical parts makes them a valuable resource for authentic restorations.
5. Suspension and Steering Parts
Control arms, axles, and steering gears are critical for vehicle safety and often needed during major repairs or restorations. The vintage focus at Riley Automotive makes them particularly valuable for finding these hard-to-source parts for classic cars.
For customers looking to find quality used suspension parts, Riley Automotive’s inventory of classic car parts provides options that might not be available at other, more modern-focused salvage yards.

No apparent restrictions: The business doesn’t indicate limitations on vehicle age, make, or model
Additional materials accepted: Beyond cars, they purchase scrap metal, ATVs, and farm equipment
Their focus on vintage parts (1950s–1970s) makes them particularly interested in older vehicles, though they accept modern cars for recycling as well. If you’re wondering whether to sell your junk car for cash instead of letting it rust away, Riley Automotive offers a straightforward solution.

The website lists 30 cents per pound for aluminum cans as of 2yrs ago. Today my daughter and I were only given 20 cents per pound. It may not be much to some, but it means a lot for those of us struggling through this pandemic. Every penny counts when we're having a rough time getting by, especially being a single parent with a special needs chiId. I honestly feel he was being biased due to us not being from this area/state, unless he was just taking advantage of me & my daughter. I feel very hurt and mislead. I just asked my neighbor who's from this area how much he was given. He was given 35 cents a pound a couple of weeks ago. It makes me very sad how some ppl can be.

I was A little iffy when I read the reviews, but he had the part I needed. I went there and I didn't think there was anything wrong with the place. Sure it was A little Dirty, but its a Junk yard. Had to pull the part myself, but I didn't mind because I like doing that stuff. the price for the part was reasonable as well. So I am VERY Satisfied! I would recommend to everyone, and probably will go back myself if I ever need a part again.

If I could give a negative 10 I would. These guys are Scam Artists I had an accident with my motorcycle less then 10 miles from there shop they charged my insurance company$475 for a towing bill and $125 in storage fees. Clearly price gouging. The insurance company had a second towing company tow it from Riley's to the repair shop they traveled from Douglas Ga to Nashville Ga then towed it 5 miles and the bill was less then $200. I will never use or refer anyone to Riley's Automotive.

So I stopped by this past weekend and found a few things for my truck that I have been looking for. I didnt have tools, but it was on my way to town so I figured I looked. Heard nothing but great things about this Riley guy. Well today I came with tools and this “cool” guy told me in my face that he didnt have anything to fit my truck. I told him that he did and where they were, then asked if I can look anyway. He clearly said no. All in all I wasted time and gas to go out of town and visit this place with high hopes only to be lied to. Whatta douche!
