The bolt pattern wall
The TJ uses 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm) bolt pattern. The JK and JL use 5x5" (5x127mm). This means TJ wheels will NOT fit JK/JL without adapters, and vice versa. Even between JK and JL, hub bore sizes and offsets differ — JK wheels may need hub-centric rings to fit a JL safely.
