Riverside Auto is impossible to deal with. They don’t own up to anything and their customer service is rough on even repeat customers like us. First time I ordered a fuel tank that supposedly included the pump; when we picked it up the pump was missing. Management wouldn’t even look at the quote—instead they accused us of lying and walked away. Next time, a customer needed a cheap pump. I steered him to other yards before finally giving in and pointing him there because it was the only match. On the spot we tested the pump and the resistance was way off, so we showed them the meter readings. They just said, “I don’t care what your meter says,” and refused to let us talk to the person who actually tested it or see their own paperwork. When a business dismisses real diagnostic data and won’t back its parts or service, that’s a deal-breaker for me. We won’t be back, and no one should count on honest work down there.

Forked over eighty-five bucks to have a part pulled. Turned out it wasn’t the right one, so I asked for my money back because I didn’t take it. The guy behind the counter got nasty, said he’d charge me labor but would “meet me halfway” and give forty bucks back. I countered with fifty, figuring he could still profit on the part, and he turned even nastier, insisting his guy spent all day cutting and that was it. Both times he was unpleasant, especially the fella with glasses up front—total deadbeat. On top of the shoddy attitude, the wasted drive there and back cost me two hours. Straight-up crooked. Giving zero stars if I could, and I’m filing with the BBB and our local news.

Someone needs to shut this yard down. I drove an hour after calling to confirm they had the part I needed. Arrived only to find the whole crew on lunch break. Fine, I waited 45 minutes, only to be told they didn’t actually have it and I’d wasted my whole morning. One star would be too generous. The woman at the counter came off rude and unprofessional, and I plan to post the same review on their Facebook page. Don’t bother making the trip no matter how desperate you are—check the reviews first like I should have.

Heads-up: always double-check part numbers against the pictures before you pay. This yard cost me a day’s frustration. They want the money up front, then bring parts that don’t match their listings. I paid six hundred for items they didn’t even have, and what showed up were dented pieces in the wrong colors. When I complained they hid behind “no returns” and started cursing. I’d asked earlier if the grill came with the bumper—they said yes. When the correct parts finally arrived, the grill was missing. They pocketed my cash, dumped the mismatched parts in the driveway so I’d just leave, and couldn’t even produce the hood I’d already paid for. They’re clearly slapping whatever they have onto the website photos and calling it a sale.

I found a rear axle assembly on car-part.com and called to buy it, using their description. When the part arrived at my shop it wasn’t even close to what they advertised. I measured it right away, called the yard, and after being stuck on hold for thirty minutes of dead air they finally said the driver didn’t carry a phone and I’d have to bring the part back myself if I wanted a refund minus a 25 % fee. I said that wasn’t happening and told them I’d spend my time telling others what kind of outfit they run. Sure enough, the driver showed up minutes later to haul it away. Zero refund, zero credit reversal. Now I’m out the money for a bogus part plus a couple of hours I’ll never get back, fighting the charge with my card company. Skip them no matter how hard up you are for the part.

We made the trip—four hours each way—because they swore up and down they had the part we needed. Got there, and suddenly it was "oops, not here after all." Even after we called ahead to double-check. What’s the point of asking if they’ve got something if they’re just gonna waste your time and gas money? At this point, I don’t know who to trust.

Before you offload that old beater to just anyone, talk to these guys first. They’ll give you a square deal and won’t lowball you like some places do. No hassle, no games—just a fair price and decent treatment.

Ordered a few parts, and they had what I needed. Only complaint is the customer service could use some work—they weren’t exactly warm and welcoming. ---

Stopped by to check if they carried lower motor mounts for my 2002 Tahoe. The guy behind the counter didn’t even bother saying they didn’t have them—just flat-out told me they don’t deal with parts like that. Weird, since this is a super common part for Tahoes, Suburbans, and trucks. Guess they didn’t want my business. ---

Friendly guys, quick with the parts, and the prices were solid. They’ve got a decent selection, so you can usually find what you’re looking for. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
