Services & What to Expect

The yard carries parts from many makes and models, including hard-to-find items. Staff can help locate parts but don’t remove them unless requested. Visitors usually walk the yard to find the vehicle with the needed part, then take it themselves.

Bring the year, make, and model of your vehicle or the specific part number when you arrive. Ask about any fees for part removal or retrieval. If you’re buying a heavy part, bring a way to transport it.

What Customers Say

Customer feedback is mixed. Positive comments mention helpful staff like Ed Carson and parts that keep running. Negative reviews talk about long waits for ordered parts, incorrect mileage on transmissions, and pushy add-ons like extended warranties.

Rodney E Wisdom wrote, “I bought a motor for my Dodge Ram and a sealed transmission for a Chevy Cobalt here a while back. Both parts still run like new.” Paul added, “Ed Carson at Midway has been a lifesaver. He knows his stuff and steps up when we’re in a bind.” Diober Sardiña said, “I bought a transmission here with supposed 65K miles. It barely worked after installation.” Ken Faulkner noted, “The selection is good and the staff is friendly, but they always try to add an extended warranty.”

Everything matched what they said they had, but the wait time dragged on, and I’d have liked a heads-up when my wheel actually showed up.

They swore the part was in stock and I drove 30 minutes just to wait 15 while they grabbed it. Then I had to go back up and they admitted they checked the wrong system — it was across the country and wouldn’t arrive until Friday. Called back today and she admitted they lost the wheel. No replacement, just a refund they’ll supposedly send in 3 to 5 days. After today’s disaster, I won’t be back. Wish I hadn’t even given them a chance.

This place used to be solid, but now it's a joke. I called ahead thinking they'd have the aluminum wheel I needed, but nope — nothing available when I got there. They tried pushing a steel wheel instead because they couldn’t be bothered to swap it off a car. I wasted over an hour driving there. Asked for even a tiny discount or travel credit, and she straight up laughed in my face, saying business doesn’t care about my time or where I came from. Real class act. I remember when Ryan Falco ran things and actually cared about customers. Now some woman at the counter is running this place into the ground. Skip Midway Auto Parts unless you like disappointment.

Nick on the phone was awesome — super patient and walked me through exactly what I needed. While we talked, he even sent photos so we could double-check everything matched. Right after, he texted a payment link, so checkout was instant. Couldn’t ask for better service or selection.

Bought a supposed top-tier rear end, only to find the axle and backing plate were trashed. Turns out it was really mid-tier at best. Worse, they told me the part wasn’t in stock when I called ahead, but magically it was there — costing me another wasted afternoon the next day.

Ordered a driver-side axle shift over the phone, and when I showed up to grab it, they said it’d be ready in 5-10 minutes. Thirty minutes later, nothing. Told the woman at the counter I had to leave to pick up my kids from school but I’d be back. Two hours later, I’m standing there again, and she’s like, “Oh, it’s not here yet—just five more minutes.” So I wait another 15, kids in tow, and they finally bring out this axle shaft that looks like it’s been sitting in a junkyard for two years—rusted, beat up, and *not* the left side I asked for. I’d already wasted half my afternoon, and when I pointed out they gave me the wrong part, they acted like I was the problem. No apology, no fix, just side-eye and eye-rolling. Refund? Forget it. Absolute nightmare.

Picked up a motor for my Dodge Ram and a sealed transmission for a Chevy Cobalt here a while back, and both parts are still running like new. No issues, no surprises—just solid, no-frills service. If you need parts that actually work, this place delivers.

Bought a transmission here with supposed 65K miles. Installed it, and it barely worked. Checked the Carfax later—turns out it had 110K. Went back to complain, and the saleswoman, Ana, brushed me off. Said they needed a trouble code, even though the mileage was wrong. Took it to a mechanic, no code found. A week later, the thing vibrated like a washing machine and wouldn’t go past 40 mph. Went back, same excuse. Asked for a manager—turns out *she* was the manager. Don’t trust their mileage claims. ---

Ordered a part they said would be ready in 24 hours—still waiting after six days. Meanwhile, parts shipped from across the country arrived faster. The note about "24 hours to remove" is just code for "who knows when." If you need something fast, don’t count on this place. ---

Good selection of parts, friendly staff, and usually a solid experience—except for the sneaky extended warranty they try to slap on you. I had to *yell* at the counter to make sure it didn’t go through, and even then, they acted like I was the one being difficult. Seems shady how they push these add-ons without warning. Maybe someone should look into how they handle refunds. ---
