Amen Auto Parts at 1215 W Blue Lick Rd, Shepherdsville, KY 40165

Amens Auto Parts in Shepherdsville is where I always go when I’m gutting and flipping houses. They’ve become my main spot for getting parts fast, and I’ve even sold copper there without any hassle. The staff’s always been easy to work with, helpful, and friendly. Having a reliable place like this for both projects and scrap really saves me time. Highly recommend them—I’ll definitely be back.

People only leave bad reviews because they don’t get how scrap yards work. There’s no way they can catalog every single part in the pick lot, and some cars are totaled. Scrap yards are messy—nails, debris, everything’s everywhere. If someone seems annoyed, they might just be having a rough day. Point is, no one’s perfect on their worst days. Ignore the whiners. You can’t expect a junkyard to be as clean as a five-star restaurant. They’re doing great work, especially after that UPS plane crash.

If you need auto parts, Amen’s is the spot. I’ve bought enough here to build a whole car over the years. They let you pull the parts yourself or can do it for you. Besides that, they’re a scrap metal yard too—they take copper, iron, steel, aluminum, plus batteries and old appliances.

This place is a goldmine if you’re hunting for used auto parts. I’ve grabbed so many pieces here over the years, I could probably slap together a whole car from scratch. You can yank the parts yourself or let them do the dirty work—either way, it’s a solid deal. Oh, and it’s not just car parts. Amen’s also a metal recycling hub—copper, iron, steel, aluminum, you name it. They’ll take old batteries and busted appliances too. No nonsense, just good prices and a no-frills setup.

I was stranded on a road trip from Tennessee to Ohio when my old Volvo finally gave out—thank God for Amen Auto Parts and Salvage. Between Chuck’s Automotive, Enterprise Rental, and Amen’s team, they got me back on the road without a hitch. From the first phone call to the moment I drove away, everyone at Amen was sharp and easy to work with. Diana and Bo in the scrap metal office walked me through the whole process like I wasn’t just some clueless middle-aged woman (which, let’s be honest, I am). Then Brian in the yard took the time to pull off the tires I wanted to keep—no fuss, just good help. And Tulis? He loaded those tires into my rental van like it was nothing. The whole place runs smooth, and it’s obvious they actually care about their people. The staff moves fast, stays on top of things, and you can tell they don’t just clock in and out. If my car hadn’t died near Shepherdsville, I’d have missed out on the best breakdown experience ever.

I’ve been coming here for years, and I’m not switching anytime soon. The people here? They’re the real deal. Need a hand? They’ll help. Need advice? They’ll give it. It’s not just a business—it’s like they’ve known me forever. And I don’t take that for granted. Every time I’m there, I walk out feeling like I’ve talked to friends. That’s rare in this day and age.

Twenty years. That’s how long I’ve been coming here, and I still can’t believe how good they treat people. It’s not just about selling scrap—it’s about *helping*. Need a part? They’ll dig through the yard with you. Having a rough day? They’ll listen. I don’t say this lightly, but this place feels more like family than some of the actual businesses I deal with. And I mean that. No other scrap yard comes close. ---

They don’t treat you like just another customer here—they treat you like family. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years, and I’ve never met a better group of people. This is the only scrap yard around that doesn’t make you feel small just because you’re scrapping. They make sure you know you’re equal. I also want to say I pray for the whole Amen family every single day.

You know how some places just feel like home? That’s Amen Salvage for me. Been going there for 15 years, and I swear, these folks treat me better than half my actual family. Never once made me feel like some second-class scraper just because I’m out there looking for parts or selling metal. They talk to you like you’re a person, not a wallet. And honestly? I think about the Amen family every day—hope they’re all doing well. God bless ‘em. ---

Finally found a place that doesn’t make you feel like you’re wasting their time. I’d been hunting for a part for my ‘92 pickup for weeks, hitting up every junkyard in the area, and nothing. Then I stopped by Amen, and within 10 minutes, the guys had it in hand. The woman at the register? Absolute sweetheart—reminded me of my abuela, honest and warm. And the price? Fair. No haggling, no nonsense. If you’re looking for parts, start here. ---
