Called Balow’s twice, and both times the woman who answered just hung up on me. First time, I thought maybe it was a bad connection. Second time? Nah, she straight-up ended the call. Didn’t even bother with a “we’re closed” or “call back later.” Just silence. Not worth the hassle. ---

Needed a door molding for my ’06 Mitsubishi Raider—turns out it’s discontinued, so I figured I’d have to hunt forever. Called Balow’s on a whim, and they actually had one. Not just the part itself, but still attached to a donor door. I showed up, and they’d already pulled it for me. The guy handed it over, I paid, and I was out the door in five minutes. Couldn’t have gone smoother. ---

Jeff at Balow’s made this whole thing stupid easy. I called ahead to check on a part, and he said it’d be ready—no surprises when I got there. No fluff, no runaround, just a guy who knows his stuff and doesn’t waste your time. As someone running a small business myself, that’s all I ask for. Dude’s solid. Already planning to come back. ---

Went in asking about parts for a Buick and also wanted to scope out a project car for my kids. The lady at the front desk acted like we were bothering her—barely looked up, didn’t ask questions, just seemed annoyed we were there. If a place doesn’t want your business, why waste time? There are plenty of other yards that’ll actually help you out.

I called to check on some parts, but the person I talked to couldn't get what I was asking for. Every time I tried to explain, she just got ruder. When I finally asked how much the part I needed cost, she hung up. Having worked in a salvage yard my whole life, I can say her lack of knowledge made this the worst service I've ever dealt with. Her attitude alone is probably chasing off paying customers. Doesn't seem like they're interested in making sales.

Stopped by looking for a side mirror for my Accord, and Jeff—the owner—was cool as hell about it. Didn’t make me wait around or dig through a million boxes. Had the part in hand before I even finished explaining what I needed. Fast, friendly, no drama. That’s how it should always work. If I need anything else, I’m coming right back here. ---
