Short answer: Regular car junkyards rarely have ATVs. Used quad, UTV and side-by-side parts mostly come from powersports salvage yards and from motorcycle dismantlers that also part out quads, and most of them ship. Online marketplaces fill the gaps. Plastics, racks, wheels and many engine parts are fine to buy used. Buy brake parts and tires new.
Last checked: October 5, 2026. Each salvage yard's details are from its own website. Directory counts, ratings and phone numbers are from our database. Search data is from Google Trends and DataForSEO Labs.
Google Trends showed searches for "atv junkyard near me" up 400% over the last 90 days, from a small base. DataForSEO Labs puts the phrase at about 1,900 searches a month.
Do regular junkyards have ATVs?
Rarely. Self-service car yards are built around cars and light trucks on stands. GO Pull-It, for example, describes each yard as more than 1,000 cars, trucks, vans and SUVs. An ATV does show up in a car yard now and then, so check a yard's vehicle inventory if you are going anyway. Do not plan a trip around it.
Which salvage yards sell used ATV and UTV parts?
These four say on their own websites that they sell used ATV or UTV parts.
| Yard | Location | What it says it stocks | Shipping |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sun Coast Cycle Sports | Odessa, FL | Used UTV, side-by-side and ATV parts from donor machines, each photographed | Free to the lower 48, usually within one business day. Cages, beds and roofs ship freight |
| Bill's Motorcycle Salvage | White City, OR | New and used Japanese ATV, UTV and motorcycle parts, 1960s to present | Nationwide delivery |
| Mids Cycle Salvage | Sumter, SC | Motorcycle and ATV parts since 1985, five acres of parts bikes | USPS, FedEx and UPS daily |
| Cycle Salvage | Middleburg, FL | Street, dirt, ATV and side-by-side parts, with ATV part-outs by brand | Online store |
Sun Coast says it ties each part to the machine it came off and will check a part against its donor before you order. Bill's lets customers pull parts from donor machines in its White City yard. Both are useful details when fitment is uncertain.

What does our directory show?
We searched the names of our published listings for cycle, motorsport, powersport and ATV. The search matched 104 names, but almost all of them were "recycler" or "recycle". Only four names point to a motorcycle salvage yard:
| Yard | City | Phone | Google rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mims Cycle Salvage | Camp Hill, AL | (256) 495-2441 | 3.6 from 22 reviews |
| AZ Cycle Parts | Phoenix, AZ | (602) 278-0456 | 3.7 from 152 reviews |
| Osburn Cycle Salvage | Waycross, GA | (912) 283-1557 | 3.8 from 39 reviews |
| Vintage Cycles Salvage | Moline, KS | (620) 647-6400 | 4.8 from 22 reviews |
We could not confirm that any of the four carries ATV parts. AZ Cycle Parts' website does not mention ATVs. Osburn has no website in our listing, Vintage Cycles lists only a Facebook page, and the website on Mims' listing now redirects to a different domain. Call and ask before you drive.
ATV salvage is a mail-order business more than a drive-up one, so expect to buy from a yard in another state.

Which ATV parts are worth buying used?
This is our own advice, not a rule from a safety body.
| Part | Used or new | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Plastics and fenders | Used | Cracks at the mounting tabs and sun fade |
| Racks, bumpers and guards | Used | Bends and cracked welds |
| Wheels | Used | Bent rims, cracks in aluminum, the bolt pattern |
| Complete engine | Used, with care | Compression numbers, a running video, the return terms |
| CDI box or ECU | Used, if returnable | Exact part number. Electrical parts cannot be judged by eye |
| Carburetor | Used, plan to clean it | Varnish from old fuel, stripped screws, a cracked float bowl |
| Brake parts and tires | New | Wear and age you cannot see. Check tire date codes |
Have the year, make, model and engine size ready, and the VIN when the part changed during a model run. Ask for photos of the actual part, not a stock picture. On marketplaces such as eBay, buy from sellers who show the real part and state a return window. A seller who will not answer questions is a warning sign, and our list of junkyard red flags covers others.
For car and truck parts, a self-service yard is still the cheapest route. Our explanation of U Pull It yards covers how they work, the parts search looks across yards, and junkyards near me finds the closest ones.
