Short answer: Wheelzy is a real company in Orlando, Florida, that has bought cars since 2019. It holds an A- from the Better Business Bureau and 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 85,827 reviews. Most reviewers describe a fast sale and payment at pickup. The most common complaint is an offer that was lowered when the driver arrived, which the company's terms allow when the car does not match its description.

Disclosure: the cash offer form on U-Pull-It.com is run by Wheelzy, which is the company reviewed here, and we may be paid when a reader sells a car through it. Wheelzy did not pay for or review this article. We have not sold a car to Wheelzy ourselves, so everything here comes from public sources.

What do the ratings say?

SourceRatingDetail
Better Business BureauA-Accredited since January 27, 2025. 147 complaints closed in the last three years. 1,907 customer reviews
Trustpilot4.7 out of 585,827 reviews. 85% five-star, 3% one-star
Wheelzy's own site4.7 out of 5Quotes Trustpilot, with a count of 85,782 on the day we looked

The Better Business Bureau gives the company's start date as June 10, 2019, and its address as 109 East Church Street in Orlando. Wheelzy says on its site that it has 200,000 customers. Against that, 147 complaints in three years is a small share, and 3% of 85,827 reviews is still about 2,500 unhappy sellers. Both things are true.

What the praise has in common: the quote came in minutes, pickup was arranged quickly, the driver was polite and on time, and the seller was paid on the spot. What the complaints have in common: the price was reduced at pickup, the driver came hours or days late, or the seller had trouble getting a bill of sale afterwards. Wheelzy replies publicly to negative reviews on Trustpilot.

How does selling to Wheelzy work?

Wheelzy describes three steps. You answer questions online or by phone and get an offer. You accept and set a pickup time. The driver arrives, pays you and tows the car.

QuestionWhat Wheelzy says
Where does it buy?All 50 states
Is towing free?Yes. It says it charges no fees at all
How are you paid?Check or cash, handed over at pickup
How fast?Same-day service is offered
How long is an offer good for?No fixed period. It keeps an offer open "as long as we're able to"
Which vehicles?Cars, SUVs, vans and trucks from 1981 on, with the engine and transmission in place
What will it not buy?Motorcycles, RVs, boats, ATVs or loose parts
Do you need a title? It depends on the state. It says it may be able to buy without one

The terms describe Wheelzy as a platform that connects sellers with buyers and towing companies. They say payment may come from Wheelzy or from a third-party buyer. In practice the person in your driveway may work for a local tow company or yard, which explains why pickup experiences differ from town to town.

Is the Wheelzy offer really guaranteed?

Its help center and its terms give different answers. The help center says offers are guaranteed and will not change, and that drivers do not examine the car. The terms and conditions say guaranteed offers are based on the accuracy of what the seller provided and are subject to vehicle inspection. If original parts are missing, the terms give the catalytic converter as the example, or the car does not match the description, the offer may be recalculated. The seller can then accept or decline the revised offer.

Plan around the terms, because they are the contract. The guarantee holds when your description is accurate. It does not hold when the converter is gone or aftermarket, or when the car will not start after you said it would.

Wheelzy's definitions are stricter than most people assume. A car counts as drivable only if it can be driven safely at highway speeds. It counts as starting only if it starts on its own without a jump. A windshield with a small crack counts as not intact. Answer the form with those definitions in mind.

How do you protect your offer?

Look under the car before you fill out the form and confirm the catalytic converter is there and original. Catalytic converter values show how much of the price rides on it.

Take dated photos of all four sides, the interior, the odometer and the engine bay. Save a screenshot of your answers and of the offer.

Ask on the phone how you will be paid and by whom. If you want cash and not a check, say so before you accept.

Hold a second quote. If the driver offers less than the agreed amount you can decline, and that is easier when you know what someone else will pay. Who pays the most for junk cars compares ten buyers, our look at Peddle covers a competing buyer, and the junk car value calculator and current scrap car prices give you a floor.

Ask for the bill of sale before the truck leaves, and report the sale to your state's motor vehicle agency yourself. Junkyard scams and red flags lists what else to watch for.

Who is Wheelzy a good fit for?

It suits a seller who wants the car gone in a day or two, can describe it accurately, and lives somewhere a local yard will not tow from. It is a weaker fit for a car older than 1981, a car missing its engine or transmission, or a seller without a title in a state that requires one. For that last case, read selling a car with no title first.

You can request a cash offer through our form. As the disclosure above says, Wheelzy runs that form.
