Short answer: Crazy Ray's no longer operates under that name. The Maryland self-service yards that people know as Crazy Ray's are now Pick Your Part yards: Hawkins Point and Erdman Avenue in Baltimore, Edgewood and Mount Airy. All four post entrance hours of 9 AM to 4:30 PM, seven days a week, and charge $3 to get in. Jessup is not on the company's list of Maryland locations.
Last checked: September 29, 2026. Addresses, hours, admission, the age limit and the guarantee are from pyp.com. The 2025 sale is from LKQ Corporation's company history page and its filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ratings and distances are from our directory listings.
What happened to Crazy Ray's?
The old address crazyrays.com no longer belongs to a yard. It forwards to a company that sells domain names. Older public listings under the Crazy Ray's name give the same addresses that Pick Your Part uses today, and the listings link to Pick Your Part pages.
We did not find an official statement of the date the name changed, so we do not give one. What is on the record is the most recent change of owner. LKQ Corporation sold its self-service business, Pick Your Part, to an affiliate of Pacific Avenue Capital Partners. LKQ's filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission dates the completed sale to October 1, 2025. The chain's site is now pyp.com.
For a customer, the practical result is small. The yards are in the same places. The name on the sign, the website and the phone number are different from what an old bookmark shows.
Where are the four yards?
| Yard | Address | Google rating |
|---|---|---|
| Hawkins Point | 2801 Hawkins Point Rd, Baltimore, MD 21226 | 4.0 from 387 reviews |
| Erdman | 6201 Erdman Ave, Baltimore, MD 21205 | 3.9 from 534 reviews |
| Edgewood | 1706 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood, MD 21040 | 3.6 from 225 reviews |
| Mount Airy | 3923 Twin Arch Rd, Mount Airy, MD 21771 | 3.7 from 271 reviews |
All four share one phone number, (800) 962-2277. The two Baltimore yards are 6.8 miles apart in a straight line, so you can try both in one morning. Edgewood is about 15 miles from Erdman. Mount Airy is about 32 miles west of either Baltimore yard, which makes it a separate trip.
The Maryland page on pyp.com lists Baltimore, Edgewood and Mount Airy and nothing else. If an old list sends you to a Crazy Ray's in Jessup, call the number above before you drive.
What are the hours and the entry fee?
| Detail | All four Maryland yards |
|---|---|
| Entrance hours | Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM |
| Admission | $3 |
| Minimum age | 16 |
| Footwear | No open-toe shoes |
| Tools | Bring your own |
| Supplied free | Wheelbarrows and engine hoists |
The site calls these entrance hours. It does not say how long you may stay in the yard after 4:30 PM, so ask at the gate if you arrive late. A half-past-four last entry is early, and it rules out a trip after work. Go in the morning.
Sunday hours are not common in Maryland. Of the 53 Maryland yards in our directory, 8 list Sunday hours, and these four are among them.

How do you search the Hawkins Point inventory?
Each yard has its own page with three buttons: a part search, a vehicle inventory and a price list. Start from the Hawkins Point page, the Erdman page, the Edgewood page or the Mount Airy page.
The site says the vehicle list is refreshed daily. The part search uses an interchange, which means it also shows other years and models that carry the same part. The company's FAQ adds that you can ask for a printed interchange sheet at the checkout counter.
The inventory lists cars, and nobody records which parts have already been taken. Check two yards before you leave home. With Hawkins Point and Erdman so close together, a car at either one is worth the drive. You can also search several chains at once from our inventory page.
