Is Indy U-Pull-It the same as U-Pull-&-Pay?
No, as far as the two companies' own websites show. Our directory lists the yard at 940 West 16th Street under the name U-Pull-&-Pay, which is how it appeared in the public listing data we imported. The website attached to that same listing is indyupullit.com, and the business there calls itself Indy U-Pull-It everywhere, from the page titles to the copyright line.
U-Pull-&-Pay shares a locations page with Pull-A-Part, and the yard on West 16th Street is not on it. The one Indianapolis yard on that page is Pull-A-Part on Producers Lane.
So the address, phone number, hours and reviews on our listing belong to Indy U-Pull-It. Only the name is out of date. If you have a U-Pull-&-Pay coupon or membership, do not expect it to work here.
How do you find a car in the yard?
The vehicle inventory on the yard's site lists each car with its year, make, model, colour, engine, row number and arrival date. On the day we checked it showed about 1,300 vehicles, and the newest arrivals were dated the day before. Sort by arrival date if you want a car that has not been picked over.
The yard is laid out in four sections: General Motors, import cars, Chrysler and Ford. The yard map shows where each one is. Staff will also look up an interchange for you, meaning the other years and models that use the same part. Our explanation of interchange shows why that widens your options.
The site gives two different figures for how fast cars arrive. The home page says more than 200 new arrivals daily, and the about page says more than 100 new vehicles a week. The arrival dates in the inventory are the better evidence, so look at those.

What do parts cost?
Prices are flat by part type. The price list has more than 450 lines, each with a part price and, for some parts, a core price that you get back when you return the old one.
| Part | Price | Core |
|---|---|---|
| Alternator | $25.99 | $9.00 |
| Starter | $27.99 | $8.00 |
| Door with glass | $74.99 | $5.00 |
| Transmission with converter | $149.99 | $30.00 |
| Engine, no accessories | $349.99 | $75.00 |
Those are from the yard's price list on September 29, 2026. Bring the old alternator or starter with you and you avoid paying the core at all. Core charges explained covers how the refund works. For a wider comparison, our junkyard price list shows what other yards charge.
